Why St. Croix

The largest and most laid back of the three US Virgin Islands, St. Croix retains the old-time ambience of life on a Caribbean Island. It offers a glimpse of a bygone era when the island was home to hundreds of working plantations. Walk through the colorful streets of two historic towns, Christiansted and Frederiksted, or relax in the lawns of the forts to enjoy the picturesque views of the harbor. Both still feature charming Dutch-colonial architecture. As you drive around the island, one side of the road will showcase historic Sugar Mills and ruins dot the landscape and on the other, a view of the stunning coastline. Visitors can tour The Estate Whim Plantation Museum that chronicles the 18th century life of Crucians, partake in world-class diving at the wall off of the North Shore, visit our two legendary rum distilleries home to Cruzan Rum & Captain Morgan, or simply relax on one of our many serene, turquoise water beaches. Not only does the island offer many visual reasons to visit, the community of locals make you feel like one of them with their warm hospitality. As you spend time on the island, you will often be greeted with a "good morning" or "good afternoon" by those who pass by. The local community is eager to share their history and culture with visitors so they feel at home during their time on St. Croix. Our vendor partners provide top notch service and show the same friendly spirit found throughout the island. They take pride in their trades and love to showcase all our beautiful island has to offer. Whatever your interests may be, St. Croix offers activities and sights that are sure to make for an unforgettable time had by all.
